Onam Celebration 2023
The Onam celebration @Dr.GSK is an annual event that brings together students, teachers, and staff to commemorate the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala, is a time for joy, unity, and colorful festivities.
Our school's Onam celebration is a reflection of these values. The students and the members of the staff participated in this joyous celebration. The school premises were adorned with vibrant pookalams (flower carpets), and traditional lamps. These decorations create an atmosphere of festivity and tradition, setting the stage for the celebration.
Students of Grade VII-IX performed a skit to highlight the importance of Onam and the story of 'Mahabali'.
The students of grade VI-IX sang the special 'Onam song' which was an aural feast.
In addition to that students of grade VI, IX & XI presented marvellous dance performance reflecting the traditional 'Thiruvathirakali' dance of Kerala that electrified the spectators during the celebration.
The cultural performances brings out the diverse talent of the students.
The celebration left a lasting impression on good harvest. It was a memorable event where the ideology of unity in diversity is conveyed.
